You need to remove your old gear or gears first to determine which part or parts you need to order. You will either have a single 20x?? gear or a gear and pod combination.

Porsche -US 944 25 Tooth Odometer Gear (1991 option)
In 1991 there is a option for either a one piece gear or a gear and pod combination. The only way to determine which is installed is to remove the old gear(s) before ordering. This gear rides on a large pod gear. The two gears together operate the odometer. If you only want to repair the odometer once then it is recommended to replace both at the same time.

The original pod was made in two parts, the disc and then the urethane gear. We manufacture the replacement pod as one piece. This ensures a stronger part with no failure possible.

There are multiple tooth count options that can and will be installed in this odometer. You will need to count the teeth on the old gear before ordering. The outside gear will have 20 teeth and the smaller inner gear between 21 or 22. {21 tooth gear meshes with 49 tooth lower gear and 22 tooth gear meshes with 48 tooth lower gear.}
