Corrosion?
Questionable Connectors?
Unreliable Relays?
Subtle Solder Cracks?
Your volt meter only tells you half the story!
The Problem:
We are often faced with diagnosing voltage drops in switch contacts, plug connectors, fuse boxes, and corroded connectors. With control units and actuators often controlled by pulse type signals it is not easy to determine if a voltage supply has sufficient current supply capability while under load. Simply measuring the voltage with a DVOM does not properly test these circuits since the meters do not respond quickly enough, nor do they provide any load on the circuit.
The BlueLink Solution:
DropLink makes these tests quick, easy and fool proof. Connect the DropLink to a ground circuit near the circuit to be tested. The DropLink will display the available voltage. Pressing the button will switch the DropLink into fast current measuring mode for a REAL current test! When the voltage drops below 8V the current is measured and displayed. 8 volts is considered the minimum operational voltage for many functions, including many ECUs.
Please note: specifications are subject to change at anytime without notice.
Designed for use on 12 and 24 Volt DC systems only.
Use on other systems, or beyond the Absolute Maximum Limits
may damage the DropLink and is not covered by the warranty.

We are often faced with diagnosing voltage drops in switch contacts, plug connectors, fuse boxes, and corroded connectors. With control units and actuators often controlled by pulse type signals it is often not easy to determine if a voltage supply has sufficient current supply capability while under load. Simply measuring the voltage with a DVOM does not properly test these circuits since the meters do not respond quickly enough, nor do they provide any load on the circuit. Using an oscilloscope is possible, but setup time and availability is often an issue.
DropLink makes these tests quick, easy and fool proof. Connect the DropLink to a ground circuit near the circuit to be tested. The DropLink will display the available voltage. Pressing the button will switch the DropLink into current measuring mode. An ampere reading will show the available current on this circuit. A current ramp will be applied and the circuit voltage monitored. When the voltage drops below 8V the current is measured and displayed. 8 volts is considered the minimum operational voltage for many functions, including many ECUs.
A circuit can easily be tested by looking at the size of the fuse. For instance, a circuit using an 8 amp fuse would need to supply well in excess of 8 amps to be considered sound and without significant voltage drop or series resistance.
